Exile Machine LLC is pleased to announce a new California Compliance Product, a featureless rifle stock adapter/grip that we call the Hammerhead. Remove all evil features, attach the Hammerhead in place of the pistol grip, slap on the buttstock of your choice and (optionally) a pistol buffer tube, and enjoy using your legally-owned large capacity magazines the way nature intended.

your cheek goes on the buffer tube, hand goes behind the trigger like a traditional rifle

It's actually quite comfortable. I keep my AR configured this way even though I'm in a free state now.

Interesting.

I was trying to cook up something like that, but I didn't think of just using a regular entry-length stock screwed into the thing.

I like how it allows a lower mount but an upright head, with a cheek weld. It might have some potential, even with a more conventional pistol grip.

I don't know. The trigger reach seems too long and the stock puts the bore axis higher up. I'd move to a new state I think :)

I hope they sell a million. Every rifle assembled this way is one more behind the lines and a slap in the face of Democrats who have ruined CA.

Go get em boys.....

Hopefully it ends with incorporation of the 2nd and we can look back on all this regulation of cosmetic features and laugh. Until then there are a lot of conservative gun owners in CA who are outnumbered by their liberal counterparts and subject to these restrictive laws. They are fighting it in the courts with the help of the Calguns foundation and I fully expect these crazy laws to be overturned within a few years.

Wow!!! Now thats less deadly:evil::rolleyes: Do they require it to be a single shot, too?

I truly feel sorry for you people!

Seconded. This is an example of clever engineering and the free market prevailing over irrational and idiotic laws. I hope they make these things by the millions.

yeah but a bullet button is no fun, and is only kind of defiant.... now on the other hand this new stock slaps CA in the face with some serious hilarity. if i lived in ca i'd buy one
re-marktx: oh god... spade grip..

Bullet button is definitely an option, but then you are restricted to 10 rounds. If you have some legally owned 30-rounders, you need what's called a featureless rifle. No evil features, which are all pretty easy to get rid of, except that pistol grip. Several options out there to replace the pistol grip or neuter an existing pistol grip. This is just the latest.

great idea; " necessity is the mother of invention" Edison
I hope the Dems choke on it , right now, even as they are looking at it.
