Just purchased a Oracle, found out the hard way :banghead: that it uses a railed gas block that sits lower which I guess throws the sights off, and obviously plastic sights are a no no due to heat. What would the intellectual people of THR recommend as far as iron sights go, will I be forced to buy special iron sights for this rifle?

My Oracle upper came in last Wednesday. I ended up with this rail (laugh if you like, but it's made in the USA and solid as a rock):

The photo is a little goofy, once installed, it is the same diameter for the entire length.

It is captured like a carbine quad forend by the delta ring and internally by the handguard cap, but continues on past the front sight. It gave me another 4 inches of sight radius and allowed me to use the Magpul MBUS front sight I had laying around.

I'll get a chance to shoot it this weekend, have you shot yours yet? I had a completed lower in the safe, and couldn't resist Midway's price for the Oracle upper.
