I missed last year in Houston, but Indy is just a hop and a skip. Anyone else going?

Restaurants please...

If you're waiting for someone to ask, I'll bite.

What are the good restaurants?

I was going to book a hotel through the NRA website, but it looks like 10 miles away is as close as you can get. I haven't been to Indianapolis since 02-03? We used to come up for the Farm machinery show. Spent some time at the Coyote club, which I believe isn't there anymore... Edit, that was Louisville, been too many years.

Not planning on going to Indy but made the St. Louis show a couple years ago and it was a blast. I am glad I did it even though it was not a good time of the year for me. It is something I won't likely get to do again. So cross that off the bucket list. Next is the Tulsa gun show, hopefully this spring.

Excellent restaurant is The Slippery Noodle, which is 4 blocks east of Lucas Oil Statium. Exceptional food, great selection of beer and drinks, and three live bands on the week ends.

It's the place Peyton and the rest of the team went after every home game.

There are a ton of good places right downtown

Indy is real easy to navigate, and traffic isn't nearly as bad as most other large cities. Ten miles in Indy is usually 15 minutes.

A girl tried to take me in the Slippery noodle once. Long story. Didn't imagine it was still there. I was at St Louis too. Only missed Houston because my boss scheduled his vacation on top of mine.

Pulled off their website.

The 143rd NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits at the Indiana Convention Center in the center of downtown Indianapolis, IN, April 25-27, 2014!

Exhibit Hall Hours:
Friday, April 25, 2014 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 26, 2014 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, April 27, 2014 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Indy is one big, spread out city. 10 miles won't get you half way across town especially from north to south. It's about 35 miles across if you count all the suburbs that are really part of the city now like Noblesville to Mooresville. It's one of the most spread out cities in the US. But getting around is fairly easy except at rush hour of course.

I might try to go too. It's not that far from me. I'm just east of Cincinnati and we have relatives in Indy that are always asking us to come and stay with them. I lived there for few years.

The product show is free for NRA members, but the speeches, banquets, and breakfast all cost out of pocket. The show is worth seeing, free or not. Pretty much every gun produced is there to fondle. Plus deals on things, like $25 Ruger BX25 mags at St Louis when they had just been released and cost twice that anywhere else...

My wife and I will be there. Had hotel reservations since last Aug. What a great time. Missed Huston due to a knee replacement but don't plan to miss any more. I just retired so we can make them for a long time now.

Got in last night at 1030pm. Plan to be there sometime around 10am. It will not be as packed today as it will be on Saturday. Had a lot of fun in pittsburgh couple years ago.

I skipped work yesterday and walked through the exhibits. Its basically a mini SHOT Show but consumer rathter than business oriented.

too bad im not able to make it this year my daughter just had my 1st granddaughter what a wonderfull thing I will be there in sprit and full suport
