I have an opportunity to buy large quantity of Guatemalan M193 ammo from a fellow club member.

Since brass case 5.56 ammo is as rare as hen's teeth these days I'm going to take it all. My question is how good is this ammo? Is it loaded to our M193 performance specifications? I was told by the owner that the ammo is reliable but accuracy is not that great. The ammo is from 2000 production and all the ammo I saw had nice relatively clean paper box and cartridges were nice and shiny... no dents, tarnish or corrosion. I'm going to use it for plinking and for our club matches. The price comes out to $455 per thousand.

    Would you do it?

Reliable but not very accurate. I was getting 6+MOA out of it. PPU 55gr gets me 2MOA out of the same rifle.

If it's a good price I'd snag it. BSW

The accuracy, or the lack of, seems to be the most common complaint about this ammo. As for the price, it's $455 is more than Wolf but cheaper than any brass stuff around here... when there is any.

    Is that $375 include shipping?
Also, wasn't there some problems with Privi Partizan ammo that were being imported couple years ago?

I think its $17.50 shipped. I can't speek for what happened a couple of years ago, but I will say that my gun likes the stuff I have been getting from them currently.

I fired a couple hundred rounds of Guat M193 through my A1 clone with it's GI surplus 1 in 12 twist 20" barrel. I was getting 1.5 inch groups at 100 yards, and plinking clay pigeons at the same range with one shot.
Great ammo, loaded to full M193 velocity. I wish I bought a bunch back when it was available.
