Is it legal to ship a 22 rifle?

Can someone tell me if it is legal to ship a 22 rifle from La. to Tx? Or is it best just to go on a little road trip to pick it up?

You can ship any firearm to an FFL. To an individual, no.

Go see your local dealer and ask whether he accepts transfers from individuals or only from other FFLs.
