Is it me or the gun?

I have a 5" Para 1911 that I've been shooting. I'm a righty. Every time I shoot it, I'm always off a few inches to the left at about 50 feet. I've tried correcting my trigger finger, squeezing my right hand harder, but I'm still off to the left. Everyone else that shoots it is off to the left as well.

I think it may be the sights on the new gun. Or maybe it's the shooters? How can I tell?

Thanks

If your groups are round then adjust the sites.

If it is you doing something wrong the "groups" are likely not round but will tend to be strung out in one direction (IE. up and down or left to right or on a diagonal).

It could be you AND your friends with having a weak support hand. But like the others said, do it at bench-rest and see how things turn out. It could be the sight.

How do your other handguns shoot? If everyone who's tried it is consistently off to the same spot, its probably the sights.

If you've had to adjust every other gun you shot for this same problem, then its you.

As a last resort, have a left handed person shoot it. If they have it showing left, it most likely is the sight adjustment.
