I know there were a lot of problems at first with the sig mosquito, but now that they have been out a while I am hoping that all the bugs have been woked out.

My questions:

1. How long have you had your sig mosquito?

2. Have you had any problems with your sig mosquito?

3. What tpye of ammo do you use and what should I stay away from?

4. Is your sig mosquito accurate and fun to shoot?

I have watched this pistol for a long time. I really wanted one when they first came out. A 22lr setup like a Sig.

I would not buy one. There are much better 22LR pistols out there. The Mosquito is made by an airsoft pistol company.

They have horrible triggers and they have very cheap soft zinc slides.

If it were me and you already own a Sig wait for one of their new 22LR conversion kits or get a Ruger or Buckmark.

If you get one most people report the least amount of problems with CCI minis.

The Mosquitos look better than they shoot. Go to a Sig Mosq forum and speak to current owners. PURE junk is my experience. I had a cap gun with a better trigger. Bought in June 07. Sold a few months later. I have nothing good to say. The construction was poor. The barrel was held on with a tiny screw. PASS on it.

Close to a year now.

2. Have you had any problems with your sig mosquito?
Once I figured out that it doesn't like cheap promo .22LR loads, not really. Feed it what it likes.

3. What tpye of ammo do you use and what should I stay away from?
Mine likes higher "oomph" loads that have a copper-washed bullet. CCI mini-mags (and such) have worked well, the surprise to me was the Remington Golden Bullets I had laying around. Don't use cheap wax-coated ammunition unless you want to manually cycle the action (which can be kinda fun, oddly enough).
4. Is your sig mosquito accurate and fun to shoot?
Haven't yet tested it for the sake of accuracy. But is it fun? Oh hell yeah. It confuses people who, when they ask about it, I tell them it's a .22LR--many haven't seen a .22LR pistol that doesn't look like a ray-gun, but rather an actual pistol.

Yes?

P.S. A SIG rep told me that the little hole in the slide is a lubrication point, and to drop in a pinch of oil there when cleaning. Dunno the truth of this, but I've been doing that.
