Is my Beretta Broken?

    I haven't shot this in months but tonight I decided to strip it and noticed it looks like some metal is missing.

    Is this broken? I can't remember if it supposed to look like this or not.

    It's a 92fs vertec with low rounds through it.

    I've seen posts like this before. The pistols were not broken. Search berettaforum.net.

    It's a relief cut made during the machining of the slide.:)

    I thought the same thing back when I saw that on a Beretta!:D

    Reassemble your pistol, make sure it's unloaded and then cock the hammer and watch the spot you're worried about as you slowly move the the slide back and forth.

    That should answer your question.

    I took my first Beretta 92 back to the store where I bought it. The shop was was actually going to replace it until we realized that they were all like that. :uhoh:

    Just looking at that would scare the c^@p out of me too! I never really looked that closely at a Beretta, but the info is good if I ever do consider one!
