is Packing.org the most hacked site on the internet?

They could be having issues with thier ISP or server problems. Not sure why someone would be maliciously hacking their site to bring it down, although I doubt that's the case.

Don't know if they are hacked or if their server is just unreliable. I have a server that could host it. I would be willing to host it for a good rate, or even for free depending on how much traffic it generates.

Denial of Service atttacks

When I traded with http://www.xpresstrade.com/ , they had a DOS attack from some eastern Euopean hackers. The hackers demanded money or they would shut them down. xpresstrade wisely paid some teck people and got a hack resistant system that cost more than the ransom, but who knows if the hackers would keep their word? Not likely.

Somehow the hackers got thousands of computers to try and logon all day. I see here at THR, we only allow one search per 10 seconds.

My opinion (YMMV):

PDO is down quite frequently. It usually appears to be a load issue.

The state-by-state information is no longer kept up to date. I would avoid relying on that information as it could get you arrested. Remember: ignorantia juris nihil excusat (or however that phrase goes).

Trolls run rampant in the forums, with no moderators to stop them. Then there's the guy who's so convinced he knows best that he posts a reply on every thread with a huge disclaimer directing people to other fora. Plus every other thread is people complaining about the rating system and calling down curses upon a supposed "zero bandit". I'm mostly a lurker, so the rating system didn't bother me, but people on PDO complaining about their ratings became rather tiresome.

Quite simply, it's become darn near unreadable, so I left. I came here where moderators do the heavy lifting of dredging out the time-wasters and trolls, and make my experience both more enjoyable and more educational.

I guess that's a long way of saying, props to the moderators and posters here.

And if you still want to read PDO, more power to you, just bear the previous in mind.
