It has been used by many law enforcement agencies with success.

Whats so special about real world results? Is the +P+ hole any bigger? Does it cause the perp to bleed out faster? Nope. They both make the same size hole and there are real world results with Gold Dots and the like, btw.

No it's not. Ballistic Gellatin has been scientifically proven to simulate human tissue. Since todays standard pressure ammo performs just like the +P+ ammo of yesterday in ballistic gellatin, what makes you think the +P+ stuff is better? Is the magic Keebler elves riding inside the hollow point?

The Federal 9BPLE was once the best performer of all 9mm law enforcement ammunition. It may not be the best performer of all ammunition today but human physiology hasn't changed. So, yes. It is a good self defense ammunition for 9mm.
