Is the Rossi now only either .38 or .357?

Inspired by another thread here on Rossi .38/.357 rifles, I did a quick search online. Most of those for sale were advertised as.357s with no mention of the.38.

Is this a recent change or am I misreading the ads?

There were always hit or miss discrepancies on whether 38 Specials would feed falwlessly. I suspect that Rossi has "solved" this by designating the rifle for 357 Magnum, period.

Since many people were able to successfully use 38 Special brass, presumably by using bullet profiles and seating depths conducive to proper feeding, and since reduced loads to emulate 38 Special are certainly feasible with 357 Magnum brass, it is a simple, if perhaps inelegant "solution".
