Is this a good deal on a Norinco SKS? A little help? :)

I don't blame you. http://www.classicarms.us/ has them in stock. Have you considered a Saiga? The 7.62x39 models have been coming back down in price. They are built better than the WASRs though you have to convert them if you want them turned back into an AK.

I think thats a heck of a deal. I have two SKS rifles, one with the short 16" barrel and one with a 20" barrel. Frankly I like shooting the longer barrel better. The noise is further away and the longer sight radius helps the aim. You should also pick up at least a 100 fps more velocity.

I would get it. You can sell for a profit the next day if you want.

May be missing collar and spring for bayonet & cleaning rod, if that matters. Stocks are inexpensive, but I hate fitting them.

They are fun to shoot and very sturdy, but $250 would be about the top end for me.

I bubba'd an sks, but did nothing perminant. All it did was add weight and cost. I un-bubba'd it and it is back to standard form. Try it first. then if you must, go easy on it and be slow to make perminant changes.

In my humble opinion.

OH, I also think the price is very fair right now.
