Is this a ripoff of an existing design?

I like this design but I've never heard of "Nedfoss." Before I give $30 to some Chinese Amazon affiliate I thought I would check to see if it's a clone of some known maker's existing design.

Looks like a classic kukri blade shape, reduced to neck knife proportions. Might be a bit thick/obtuse for slicing, but interesting concept. A look at their store at
https://www.nedfossknife.com/
shows a variety of designs which borrow elements from old standards. They offer free shipping on all orders and a 10 percent discount for first time buyers. Steel for the squirrel is 8cr13mov, pretty common and reasonably useful, although other patterns feature 8cr14mov and other steels I am not familiar with. Looks to me like the handle will hang off to the side, which might not play well with my OCD. hso will be more familiar with designer specimens, and he will likely weigh in shortly.

From the search I did, they're based in the UK. The knives are made in China.

As usual, people are arguing about them being "just" as good as anything.

That design reminds me of something Spartan Knives made? Just not that small.

I’m not a neck knife guy but that looks like a solid candidate for the 4oclock position. My most recent accidental knife purchase has a fixed blade of similar size that I will be making a sheath for and carrying at the 4oclock.

Looks like an abominable cross between a pygmy kukri and a karambit.

There is no point to having a kukri shape if there's not enough mass for heavy impact.
