I paid about $75 less for mine several years ago.
Prices seem to have gone up some since then.

Yes, for one in that good a condition, with the original box, that's not an out-of-line price. I wouldn't be surprised to see it sell for $450-$475 when the auction is done.

Thanks for the responses. I've been thinking about a Model 18 for a while. It seems that everyone who has one loves it. This one seems to be a good deal with it being in excellent condition and with the box and papers. Any other opinions out there?

    Greeting's All-

the Smith model 18 looks good too me at that price! Not too long ago,
I saw a 98 per center at a dealers here in Bombingham, AL with a price
tag of $509. So, it looks like you might have found yourself a real deal?

What're ya gonna do? If you pass on the $400 one thinking you'll find one cheaper, well you know how that goes! :uhoh:

Paid $350 for mine 6 months ago or so. Not as minty as that but still very nice. If you're gonna keep it forever, what's an extra couple bucks? They are very nice guns, great shooters.
