Is this too much to dream for

Walker,

The pistol you show in that attached pic, is a special limited edition production of only 500 pistols.

It's no wonder it's so pricey.

Several companies offer a "Wild Bill" commemorative pistol, that are not the special limited edition version, those range from about $325.00 to on or about $500.00.

Still a bit upside from alot of pistols out there, but not bad really, when to stop to think about all the plating and engraving...

Just an FYI.

Or find yourself an engraver and have him create a piece for you for a lot less money. And it would be one of a kind.

WALKERs210, that sure is a purty piece. I wouldn't mind if someone gave me one. ;)

I have the cheapy $230 Pietta version. I kind of wonder what it'd look like if I removed the bluing to put it in the white then got a set of those Hickok style grips.

I just thought I'd show this to all, price is up there and in someways its worth it and again its not. But that is like the old saying "Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder". I am finally in a position that if I really wanted to buy it I can drop the cash and never miss it, but the old penny pincher in me makes me grab the wallet a little tighter. I had one 1851 that was put back into the white with engraved grips, a service man was working at the house and had a fit over all my collection so after he finished and went way above and beyond what he had to do I made a gift of it to him.

WALKERs210,

I think you should get it while it's available! Can't count how many time I told myself I needed to "think about it" only to later find it was gone when I finally made my decision.

Wonder if anyone has taken the Pietta Hickok model and put it in the white. I'd like to see that.

2k for a Uberti with a white plastic grip that you're not even supposed to shoot? :what:

I think I'll wait for a few years and pick one up for a heavy discount when somebody finally figures out that it wasn't such a hot investment.

Of course the collectors piece that ClemBert has would probably fetch a pretty penny.;)

Take an engraving class. After a year of practice (15 minutes a day), you'll be able to do your own.
