It says WD40 Long-term Corrosion Inhibitor lasts 1 year on metal inside and 2 years on metal outside. Sounds like it'd be great for guns, but I'm not sure.

Is WD40 Long-term Corrosion Inhibitor good to use on guns?

Or is there better?

I used it years ago...until my guns gummed up. For looong-term storage, I use "Rig" gun grease, silicone guns socks, Zerust bags, and I reduce the humidity.

Yep

The product wasn't available until a couple of years ago. It is NOT WD-40, but it is from the same company.

WD-40 will absolutely gum up a gun once the solvent dries out, but this new product from the WD-40 company should be fine for long term storage of guns/.

I keep my long guns waxed with a good paste wax . Same with my carry pistols . Hunters where I came from always did this . Rain snow sleet rifle or shot gun was protected .
