Some time in the future, Lew Horton will be having a "limited run" of, dare I say it, a S&W 1911...in 10mm Automatic! Lew and his people have been hounding the people at Springfield since they introduced the pistol in .45 ACP. For the past 12 months the "hue and cry" has gone up for the S&W 1911 to be chambered in this cartridge. It will come to pass in the relatively near future!

The folks at Lew Horton said so, and I believe them!

Gunfan: I called Lew Horton's today and was told that there was NO 1911-10mm in the works. The Custom Shop is slammed and that Horton's would have to know that there is a VERY large interest in the 10mm before they would invest and commission such a product. I was told it was certainly a POSSIBILITY sometime in the future, but that there was nothing even remotely percolating at this time. I talked with a gentleman in the sales dept., so perhaps your source(s) are better than mine (I certainly hope so as I would definitely get one ordered).
