I've got a problem

Stopped at the gun store tonight to get primers, all he had was federal match primers and only 3 boxes

Maybe time to order some and have them delivered.
Usually if you order a couple lbs of powder and say 5K primers you save enough to cover shipping and the hazmat charge.
Unless you are ordering large qtys sometimes a better price on the powder and primers is offset by a higher shipping and hazmat charge so if you decide to order
base your decision on the cost to your door.
Primers are generally around $30/k, powder $20-$25lb shipping varies, hazmat $20-$30.
Cabela's sometimes has S+B primers of a little over $22/k, but they are higher on powder, $5 shipping for Cabelas club members Hazmat was $20 so sometimes they are a good deal, sometimes others are better.
Lots of good places,
Grafs, MidSouth, Powder Valley, 3rd Gen shooting supply, Brownells, Recobs,
Brownells sends me free shipping emails on $100 orders but free shipping does not count the hazmat,
worth spending some time shopping.
Midway can be ok if they have other stuff you want otherwise they tend to be higher than other places.

Okay, let's begin.

Yes.

Yes.

No.

Absolutely not.

On the contrary, I feel uncomfortable around people who I know regularly carry guns but who I know have inadequate training to appropriately and effectively wield their gun.

Absolutely not.

I have brandished a gun under circumstances were my assailant presented me with circumstances where I believed that employing my gun was both necessary and justified. In both cases, the assailant decided that rather than get into a gunfight with someone who was clearly prepared for it, their best course of action was to depart.

Yes.

Yes. But it should be noted that I have stocked and prepared all the brass, projeciltes and primers that I anticipate needing for the rest of my life so as to not have to pay for it out of my much reduced pension.

No. I feel safe without the need to carry most places within 25 miles of where I presently live.

Absolutely not.

No. In fact, what has put a "hook" in me reloading wise in the 1960's vintage 5.7mm Johnson (22 Spitfire) cartridge.

Far from being obsessed with "the latest", I am more of a museum curator still trying to load the 22 Spitfire.

No. All guns are locked up.

--- "Just in case". Just in case my kids get at them. Just in case my parent with dementia were to get at them. Just in case thieves were to try and get at them.

Absolutely not.

Now, SharpDog, I would like to know who developed this "gun addiction" survey, what credentials they have, what criteria they used and what their political agenda was when they posited it to the broader scientific community and what that community's reaction was.

Did you click the link to find out ?

I have never owned more than 100 guns at the same time. I keep the bullet and primer supply under 25k each. I'm OK.

I beg borrow and barter when I need to. Never want something for free. I bet there are those that have what you need. I also bet there are those that wish they had something you had? I purchased 7K 150 grain .308 bullets. I don't need that many, but I had the cash and needed some. I got my money back by selling some and trading. Your hooked like the rest of us. Time to think outside the box.
