A local shop has one of these for sale for $350. Is that a good price for one in good condition? Also, how available are extra mags and parts? This one has only one mag with it.

    Thanks, Modified.

I bought one of those Iver Johnsons 22lr M1 lookalikes for 150.00 out the door at a gun show two years ago. pretty good gun to shoot.

Auction price (for ones that actually sell!) seems to be around $275, online, so I'd say no.

And it's technically an Ermawerke EM-1 Selbstlader, imported by Iver Johnson as the "US Carbine cal .22lr". The postwar Germans loved the M-1 carbine for police and military, and Erma turned out a trainer, which they then offered commercially, sold like hotcakes, and Iver Johnson started bringing 'em over.

I have one I got online for about two hundred bucks, and it's hideously accurate and a great little gun. The two big things are the mags are extremely scarce, and the rear sights are even more scarce. If it's missing either, or has only the ten-round mag instead of the fifteen, decrease the value significantly.

I used to have, many years ago, the M-16 look alike in 22RF, semi auto. A real blast to shoot, accurate, and pure heck on ground squirles!

Thanks. It looks like $350 is way high.

My dad's got one. The bolt operating handle was weak and broke. It was out of service for a while until we found a handle at Gun Parts Corp. Doesn't work all that reliable. It jams a lot, I believe due to a weak extractor.

I have one of these rifles and it is a pretty good shooter. The mags are expensive and very hard to find. I gave $150 for mine a couple of years back and don't fire it as often as my other .22s. I personally wouldn't give that much for it, but to each his own.:)

Gunparts is listing newly made steel mags (Erma or IJ) at $49.95 for a 15 round mag.
