Picked up a Gen 3 G20 SF and am really digging it. I have a black Galco OWB holster for it which I use for around the woods, hiking, etc. I'd like to find a leather or possibly hybrid IWB holster for it. Anyone have a suggestion? I don't want to blow hundreds trying to find the right holster when someone could possibly point me in the right direction to start with.

    Thanks guys

I carry a G20sf in a CompTac Infidel with the belt loop option. Think of it as a summer special rendered in Kydek. I like it enough I bought another one for a Shield.

K1500, can you post a picture of it on you? I've been contemplating that exact one. What are your pros and cons with it?

    Aegis Armory "Shield"

I use an Aegis Armory "Shield" for my Glock 30. It is a hybrid design that also allows for IWB or OWB carry. It is very comfortable. You are able to pick the color of leather and kydex. Their priced around $55, and I would probably pay twice that for what your getting.

No problem. I really like it. I have a Milt Sparks Summer Special 2 for a 5" 1911. That is one of the best riding easiest concealing IWB holsters I have ever used. I would have bought a sparks SS2 for the Glock 20sf, but I couldn't endure the wait. Comp Tac delivery was very quick.

The infidel sits perfect for me. It is about as low as you can go and still get a good, full firing grip on the gun. It is faster than the Sparks, as Kydex just clicks in and out easy as can be while leather drags a bit. It has excellent and adjustable retention. It is also entirely water proof, which suits the way I use the gun (sweat, rain, and fishing). It is probably slightly less comfortable than the Sparks, because leather is a bit more forgiving than Kydex. I notice no real discomfort when carrying it. It stays open for easy one reholstering. After a bit of wear, the Sparks sweat shield can flop over and impede reholstering. The Comp Tac also has a sweat shield (can't see it in the photo) and it works well.

I recommend the loops over the clip. I have the clip on my infidel for the Shield, but it is quite a bit smaller. The clip has been very secure and I have never "drawn the holster", but there is no doubt with the loops. The cant on the holster is perfect for me. I like forward cant for both concealing and a natural grip angle. The Sparks can creak a bit on the belt, and the leather wears the finish faster than Kydex (not that I care, but some do). I also use the single mag holster from Comp Tac for the G20 and it is outstanding.

I also have the Galco Summer Comfort for a 4" N-frame Smith, and a Wilson Combat summer companion for a Glock 17. They are good holsters, but I like the Sparks and Comp Tac better. The Galco and Wilson ride higher and don't seem to conceal as well, or course it is an apples/oranges comparison.

One nice thing about the summer special type holsters such as the infidel is they don't take up much real estate on the belt, and slip easily into a console or back pocket. Plus they are easy on and off. If all of my IWB's simultaneously vanished, I would replace them all with Comp Tac infidels. I suppose that says it all
