John Kerry said behavior and not the gun was to blame for the VT shooting. That no gun law would have done anything to stop the shooting but intervention from the university and better police reaction could have made a difference.

Let me state what Kerry really meant, "None of our attempts at 'reasonable' gun restrictions would have stopped the shooting. We must now ban them entirely...thankyou"

Kudlow point blank asked him if he agreed with some people that more ccw would make people safer - without saying yes he said criminals and wackos will always find a gun. He added that he has changed his thinking on the issue and that we have find a way to change behavior not more gun laws.

Just putting his finger to the wind and gauging no public support for further disarmament of the law abiding citizens (future victims).

After reading some of the quotes from the new Democrats, they still sound conservative on some points. These aren't Jimmah Carter's Democratics.

You think Kerry might have seen the backlash over Zumbo? Stands to reason he may have. Realize what you say could be inflammatory and come to realization through research and education that "hey, something about gun control doesn't add up."

Either he's had a come to Jesus moment in regards to RKBA/2a, or he's stumping and trying to prove he's "one of us."

Me thinks that their playbook has been changed - not a peep from Schumer or Ms. Clinton. The only real politician banging the drum has been my own mayor Mr. Bloomy.

On a side note, the same day he spoke out against guns I got a Purchase Authorization from the NYPD for a new G19. Take that Bloomy.

It's tough to know where he is on this. Has he really "come around"?

Because this is the same guy that tried to make an issue of the assault weapon ban sunsetting during the presidential campaign, hi-cap mag ban and all...

I guess I hope what I said earlier isn't true. I'm starting to get the feeling when I hear vehement anti-gunners say recently, "none of our gun control laws would have stopped this," that they're implying a total ban is the solution and that we're all just a stone's throw from psychotic killers...

Change Behavior?

. . . find a way to change behavior . . .

What?

Like more psychologists in schools?

Yeah. That's really working.

Forty-plus years of psychologists injected into the school system.

And Johnny still can't read. Or think. Or defend himself.

Well, then, clearly we just need to do more (of the same thing) harder and with more funds.

Maybe if we do it more, we'll get different results!

If Kerry really said this, then it sounds like the Dems have a new ploy to retain control of the House and the Senate. The Dems will lay off the RKBA issue, until they win the Presidency in 2008. Then they will release the hounds of war. It is a very smart move on their side, and I have to hand it them, they will might actually pull this off.

Amazing that they are able to bite their tongues so effectively. I didnt' think they'd be able to do it. Its the same strategy outlined in Leon Uris' last book-lay doggo until you have the entire goverment and then grab the guns. I thought Uris had gone senile when he wrote that book but apparently the Democrats put it right up there with Orwell's 1984 as a manefesto for social change.

Pre election politics people.

Lies, lies and more lies.

Did I happen to mention Lies?
