Bit of a twist

Sorry to intrude with a non-380 question, but: Do any of you know of a reason to not choose a Bersa / Firestorm .22 over a Walther P22? I want to use this purchase for introducing my kids to handguns. So I'm looking for a smaller gripped .22 autoloader that is functional, maintainable, and fun. Any thoughts? :) Thx.

Love mine..... :D

Always reliable, always accurate.

I'm not a "rimfire" guy for sd, but in a pinch I think my Firestorm FS22 loaded with 10+1 CCI Stingers would be a pretty effective little confrontation stopper..

I paid (I think) about $227.00 otd a couple of years ago for mine, so I wouldn'
t think $260.00 would be out of line.

I also bought an extra (pricy) magazine for mine, but just put it away and never use it. I have well over a 1500 rounds thru my FS22 and it keeps on tickin'... At one time I deliberately shot it without cleaning simply to see when it would mess up, and around the thousand round mark it was so crudded up the slide couldn't close. I took it apart and gave it a good cleaning, and it went right back to working just fine....

I've found the cheapest ww "value pack" 22 high velocity work just fine in my FS 22, and when I want to I shoot "CCI Stingers" and it loves those.

Very good rimfire for the money, actually imo it's worth more than you have to pay for it....

I also have a Bersa Thunder 9/UC and it too is excellent. If someone at Bersa Argentina would get off their butts and market these fine pistols better they could sell a zillion of them.

Best Wishes,

J. Pomeroy

welcom the bersa will grow on you very fast just be glad you have one the guys at the range will be wanting to shoot it

Thanks for the insight on the FS22. I can find the 380 several places in town. It looks really nice, but I want to start with the FS22. Maybe the 380 will be the next step.

Welcome to the club! I love mine 1063 rounds through it to date, no malfunctions at all. And some seriously nice little groups.

Bersa Thunder .380....

I just joined the Bersa "club" this last weekend!:p
Went to a gun show, and scored a "purty" duotone Thunder .380 for $226.00 NIB.

I LIKE IT! :D

Already have ordered an extra 7 shot mag, and a extra 9 shot mag, and ordered a couple of holsters for it.
Wahoo, it is rapidly becoming my favorite pistol....:neener:
