H&R 929 9 shot 22. I spent 150 on it. I always liked the way they look. It’s nowhere near a Smith and Wesson. But an inexpensive pocket 22 that will hopefully go bang if I see a snake when walking in the woods. ECA8EE37-8D3C-498E-A896-607E6CE8E4C4.jpeg

Looks to be in good shape. If it functions fine, I would say that's a good impulse buy.

    Congratulations!

Had one of those on layaway at the local gun shop some years back. Like new in the box, it was going to be a gift to my girlfriend as her first gun. Double action was a bit heavy but the single action was serviceable and the gun was nice and tight. Went in one day to make a payment on it and my old buddy behind the counter showed me a like new in the box S&W Model 34 with a 4" barrel and I immediately switched my layaway over to the S&W. Still think about that little H&R every now and then.

Nice find. Got one of those last year with a 6 inch barrel for about that price. It's in very good shape and locks up tight. The double action trigger is a bit heavy but not bad (I'm spoiled by S&W triggers) and it is decently accurate considering who is behind the trigger. Fine for woods carry and plinking. Don't know why but it is a rather satisfying revolver to shoot.

Nice little gun. I shot someone else's years ago and liked it. Then a few years later the LGS got a used one on trade-in. Looked real nice; forgot the price but it was fair and within my budget. Didn't buy it on the spot but the next day I decided to buy it; went down there and they just sold it 20 minutes ago. I should have made an impulse buy on that one. Redeemed myself somewhat in 2014 when I picked up a .22 cal. H&R Mod. 676 convertible with both cylinders that was mint and a recent trade in at another LGS. Price was right, gun was beautiful, and I bought it on the spot. And I'm glad I did.

    For $150 cant go wrong!

I had a well-used 929 years ago that started to go out of time thanks to a worn ratchet, ended up selling it to Numrich for parts.

Yours looks pretty low-mileage and should serve well for casual plinking or trail use. Nice! .
