Just bought a S&W 649 .38spl with the two inch barrel for $280. The gun looks unfired in original blue plastic box with papers.:D

Got one in .357. The only J frame you'll ever need.

Shoot from pocket. Or thumb cock and enjoy the fine single action trigger.

I have had a M649 for about five years. It's my favorite snubnose and the gun I most often carry. I think you did well.

Good gun and good price. For comparison, I paid $290 for my 649--but that was in 1986!

    What ACP230 said.

You'll love it. I carry mine all the time and I simply wouldn't give it up.

    Very good price, also.

Carried a model 49 for years. Like the ability to single action it, and still have the hammer shrouded. Great gun, good buy. A little heavy, but you get use to that.
