I just traded for a p228. Didn't think much of it till I handled it.:D
Now I'm thinking of trading in my XD for another sig.
Should I or shouldn't I?

Well, you started out with the right Sig. The 228 is an awsome 9mm. That said, I agree with Dannyboy's assessment. ;)

+1 bluto
My first was a new P228 about 13 years ago. That was the begining of my Sig addiction  :D Trade the XD and get a P220 or a P226. Then pick up a P239. Then get youself a P229 .40 with the DAK trigger. If you can find a P225, jump on it. Don't forget a P245, they'll become hard to find in the future.
Good luck with your new addiction :neener: :D

Depending on your philosophy I'd go P226 or P220. I prefer to keep most of my hand guns the same caliber just for familiarity and buying ammo. If that's your thinking as well. I'd say get a P226ST in 9mm.

otherwise branch out and grab a P220 .45 or even a P226 .40 S&W depending on what calibers you like.

I've owned all of them at one time or another and you really can't go wrong with a Sig.

Just out of curiosity, what did you think about the XD?

As a many decades S&W auto owner, one day I walked into a gunstore and picked up an used P229. Bought it on the spot. All of my S&W auto's were traded away afterwards. XD's are nice, but the manufacturer quality of Sig outweighs a Springfield.

SIG's sure are neat. I was looking at an XD45 and ended up with a SIG 220. I know it doesn't have the capacity, but the engineering is to be admired. It's easy to shoot and easy to clean. Reliable and pretty good looking too. The 225 or 239 bear some looking at as well.
