...and i managed to take it apart, clean it, and put it together IN WORKING ORDER on my own. i'm rather pleased with myself.

found it on the consignment rack at the range. $190, with scope. wood in great condition, metal mostly so. some slight rust on the top of the barrel. action is surprisingly solid - i'm used to pump 22s wobbling all over the place. scope is a 4x bushnell. rifle was absolutely filthy inside, to the point that i'm not sure it had ever been taken apart before. types of dirt i've never seen before.

the scope seems to be zeroed for 25 yards, which is perfect for my uses. groups from the bench are centered when i shoot right handed, but off to the left about an inch when i shoot left handed. not real sure what's going on there.

so far, i'm pretty darn pleased. it's just enough lighter than my 39a to make a difference. i'm even able to work the 870 style controls (said controls are why i own a mossberg 500...).

can anybody help with production date? sn is 19612xx.

pictures once i can find the camera. :D
