Gary is in Huntsville for a day or two on a research trip for a book he's writing concerning sharpshooting and sniping.
We met for the first time this evening at the Barnes and Noble in Huntsville, across from Madison Square Mall.
First, let me tell you that he and his wife are wonderful people. Second, his book, hopefully to be published some time next year, is a must-read for us fellow TFLers!
I read a chapter or two of his manuscript; the subject being anecdotes from sharpshooters during the Civil War, and a brief history of their recruitment, training, and equipment. Simply a fascinating read. When it comes out, be sure to get a copy!
