Kadet Problems

My Kadet kit showed up yesterday and I took it to the range today where the fun began.

Probably 30 or 40 rounds into the day the firing pin jammed in the gun and would not fire. I took the pin out and dropped it back in and it went back to working.

A little later the firing pin stop worked its way over the hammer at the end of a cycle locking the pistol open. This happened a few times in the middle of a mag.

Any help?

Given that it's so new, I would just send the thing back.

I could stage pictures but its working right now. I had to push the firing pin in and slide the stop back in place.

A suggestion! Post this on www.czforum.com and you will surely get some replies. They also have a trouble shooting and gunsmithing forum.

Good folks there when it comes to problems on cZ pistols.

Is there a spring on your firing pin?

If not, there's supposed to be.

My kadet kit works perfectly so far, I have it on my CZ75b (40S&W). Probably about a 1000 rounds thru it with no problems. Had to get a 9 mil slide stop to get the slide stop to stay open after the last 22 round.

Talked with CZ today they thought the FP spring might be weak and are sending another. Will keep everyone advised.
