Love the looks of the new Kimber Solo, would just love to own one if they would put a longer barrel on the thing. The problem with carrying conceal isn't necessarily the length of the barrel/slide but the grip and the signature that it leaves on the covering garment. Being as thin as it is, a 3.5" - 4" inch barrel would (IMO) make it the perfect conceal carry.

Hope that Kimber will consider this possibility as well as a model without ambidextrous mag release and thumb safety which will narrow the profile more.

A classic in the making.

I'm generally not a big fan of striker-fired guns, but that is one nice looking compact pistol. And it's got a real metal frame, not plastic. :)

Looks interesting, but truthfully I think I'll still be looking at the CW9 rather than the CM9. Already got the LCP that I have problems with the grip length - I have small hands so the CW9 is really looking like it should fit my hands pretty darned well.

Just need to find a local range where I can rent one for a test drive :D.

Took me a sec to realize that it's simply shown at the 1:06 mark in the vid, without any commentary.

Looks like a slightly chunkier PM9?

USP9, thanks for the post you made my day. Its great to see this segment of the market heating up. I have a Kahr CW9 that I love. I believe it will soon have a little CM9 to keep it company. The Kimber and the Sig 290 look really good. But to me the CM9 which is based on the PM9 is a proven entity. No beta testing for me.

mgmorden, I have a Kel Tec P3at which I find a bear to shoot because of the grip length. I shot a friends PM9 with the small mag in place, and was surprised at how controllable and accurate it was. For me it sealed the deal excepting the price. The new CM9 should solve that.

Still haven't seen any specs on the CM9---just assumptions at this point.

Mayo, I believe the specs as you put it will be the same as the PM9. Kahr will use the same cost-cutting measures it used when putting out the CW9. If you want more info. Visit KahrTalk.com

From Art Moore, Kahr regional rep for the Southeast:

"Thanks for the interest! Yes, CM9 is real. It is a "PM9 sized" addition to the "C" line of Kahr pistols. More info to follow; watch our website. We're returning from the Shot Show and will be back on Monday. Target date for CM9s will be April.
Have a great weekend!"
