Yes, it shoots +p very well. I carry 124 gr. +p Gold Dots in my PM9. They have been reliable, consistent and accurate. I've also had good results with 124 gr. +p Golden Sabers.

I've tried just about everything but a 147. Picked some up a while back, HPs, but have not tried yet. My PM9 cycles it all no problem. It's broken in, maybe 1000 rounds. I try it all. But I haven't shot anybody....

Wading through all the SD ammo arguments can get tedious. Heavier? Faster? More hollow? +P+? Haven't honestly heard one side that makes compelling sense to make me lean one way or another. Seems like cool boxes, edgy names or marketing campaigns gets people convinced. Short barrel formula ammo. Huh?

I do think nickel plated casings (like Golden Saber) are slicker and will drag out of tight chambers, like Kahrs, more reliably = less jams = trust.

Funny how the bangers in my town seem to rack up some pretty impressive numbers with crappy guns and cheap-ass WWB from Wallys. Who knows....

The PM9 is rated for +P, so no worries there. More info for you to wade through:

I have shot Speer GDHP 147gr. in my PM9 and it shoots and cycles just fine.

I think the main difference between regular ammo and the short-barrel ammo is that the powder is designed to burn more quickly so you don't get the bright muzzle flash.

I'm prone to the SGD myself, but I have also run the Golden Saber and a few other JHPs.

In addition to the 124 gr +P Gold Dots I will also load mine with Federal HST in the same spec. Both passed reliability/function tests so whichever I have in stock.
