It should factor into any debate on gun control-- here we have a madman (claims to be J.C., on a divine mission to kill black people) at the start of what could be a massacre, but is stopped by an armed citizen.

The madman's weapon? a car. Maybe a ban on "assault cars" would have prevented this crime???

The armed citizen?? a homeless drifter, the kind who would never get a concealed carry permit under even mild g.c. laws. But his quick thinking and skill with a hatchet was enough to save two people's lives, and perhaps many more.

And the best part? The buzz I hear makes a hero and celebrity out of Kai, the man who stopped the horror. The victims are given their privacy.

I was wondering when the crazies would figure out the whole vehicular homicide angle. Good for Kai. Just proves what I been saying: it ain't the weapon but the mind behind it, whether offense or defense.

Just a heads up, the interview, while entertaining, contains a lot of non-family friendly language - as you might expect in the immediate aftermath of someone using a hatchet to stop a homicidal madman.

Is there an actual news report to go along with this? Was the perp seriously wounded or did he die? This is disturbingly ... fascinating.
