Maverick223 What handguard is that on your Saiga 12?
DPH makes it specifically for the S-12 and it has been great. Additionally DPH was the only company that I can recommend to buy AK parts and accessories from (MAA is the worst).

:)

Probably the same way I did. The default sling nut will accept a standard 10/32 sling swivel screw (it's metric but almost exactly 10/32). I bought an Uncle Mike's swivel, Dremeled it off, placed a couple of washers and a compression ring on, and screwed it in. Then attached the Harris bipod to that.

Here's my rough and tumble WASR...got it last weekend. I'm going to mess with the wood this weekend:

My WASR

It's nothin' real pretty, but it scratches the AK itch (quite well, at that!). Out fitted with an el cheapo BSA red dot, but it works for now.

Hexidismal; That's a .308 x 5 that I turned on my lathe. The case is Cocobolo and the bullet is Walnut crotch. Since then I also made a 7.62x39 x5 from Mesquite (case) and Aromatic cedar (bullet). I like them, but my wife thinks there are just a couple more dust catchers.

Converted MAK

Here's my converted Mak90. Nothing elaborate but functional. Took the thumbhole off and added a Tapco Side folder, Tapco FCG and a UTG Pistol Grip.

Some needs to sticky the picture threads or make a forum just for them. Saying this obligates me to buying THR Stock to make it so. I wonder if they'll take 7.62x39 as collateral for money???

The wife got me this while I was OCONUS:

AK74 with 3 mags for $370. Just got back to the states and took it to the range last weekend. It functioned fine, despite all the Century complaints online, but now I need to order one of those tools for zeroing the front sight post. It could also really, really use different hand guards, but what do you expect for $370 with free shipping?

Old School but Cool

Here is mine. It is a mint Polish kit on a milled, threaded Firing Line receiver, built by Mike at the Firing Line. She shoots as good as she looks.
