Kel Tec getting back to its roots

Okay, I'm not gonna lie, I kinda dig it.

Me too, but have no desire for 5.7 cartridge.

I have bid on a couple of Steyr-Hahn as I think those are all sorts of cool and I collect and shoot WW2 firearms. But I've always been outbid.

Definitely get a Steyr-Hahn vibe with this. Probably, won't buy one but pretty cool nonetheless.

I like the Steyr heritage too. There was a whole family of stripper-clip loaded pistols in the pre-WWI era which were (at the time) cutting edge. Of course, today we would doubtless say they’re not high-speed, low-drag enough, but at the time they seem to have gotten the job done.

The unfortunate thing is that most of the appeal of the Steyr guns was their fantastic craftsmanship and (for the time) ergonomics. Kel-Tec does many things right but they’re not known for gorgeous machine work, bluing, and walnut.

On one of the shot show vids, the red headed kt employee states that it will be available with a mag limiter for those that live in a non free state. SKU’s are already on gun genie so hopefully they really will be available Q1 of 2025.

At about the 2:25 mark he mentions the 10 round mag limiter.

I'd rather they just chop the grip down to only hold 10 rds. That would make it more compact for carry.

There is nobody in the market where Davis used to be with double barrel derringers. Seems just odd enough to be a Keltec thing. I would consider one in the right flavor… and that flavor seems to be 32 H&R mag.
I really liked the size of 38 special davis. But it also broke.

For the MSRP or less, I’ll T&E a PR-57. It could be a decent option for self-defense for the occasional shooter who isn’t going to do well with a revolver or a semi-auto in a service cartridge.
