    I will tomorrow.

I got mine early, my local dealer, when he saw that I had ordered one, called me to come pick up the one that he had also ordered. I have torn it down, cleaned and lubed it, and installed a weapon light and M-Lok sling mounts. It holds 8 of the 2.25" Herter's buckshot (6x00) in the magazine.

When I take it out tomorrow I will also test the Aguila mini shells.

Not sure that I want to try out 3" 00 loads, but might try some 2.75" tomorrow along with the mini shells and the intermediate Herter's rounds. This gun is really, really light, which is really, really good in some ways, and possibly really, really bad in others.

    Range report: BUST!

Rounds would not feed out of the magazine, and even when I did chamber a round I received a light primer strike 50% of the time (3/6).

Going back to the mother ship.

I diagnosed the failure to feed shells out of the magazine. The CTG Stop Pin (KS7-323) had slipped out of one of the holes, causing CTG Outer (KS7-331) to bind and not operate properly. I am guessing that based on this design that the pin needs to be peened on the ends to keep it from slipping out.

Filed a service request with Kel-Tec, hoping to see a shipping label soon. The light firing pin strikes, very light, are still a considerable concern.

So far so good. Communication with KT has been seamless. They had Fedex provide an electronic label.

Only problems have been on Fedex's end. I went to the Fedex Service Center, which used to be the only place that you could ship a firearm out of. They printed the label, but then told me that I needed to drop it off at the Fedex Ground office, across town, and closer to my home than the Service Center was. The Ground office really isn't setup to handle customers, so I got no further than the security booth. They wanted me to drop the box off there, but I felt a little uncomfortable and asked for a receipt. They called and a guy eventually came in an electric cart. He took the box, scanned it into the system, and then returned with a shipment confirmation for me.

It seems like they make it harder and harder to ship firearms.

Mine came back to me today. They did the following:

Replaced CTG stop pins, CTG brace and bolt.
    Serviced chamber.
Inspected and test fired with no malfunctions.

Going to the range tomorrow to see if it is fixed and GTG. I understand the reasons for the replaced parts, wondering what constitutes "servicing" of the chamber?

    Good to go.

Range visit was a success. Fired full power 2.75" buckshot as well as Nobel 2.25" and Aguila 1.75". All functioned with no problems. Magazine holds 11 of the little Aguilas, the duplex #1 & #4 buckshot loads will serve for home defense.

Mounted the KSG rail, Magpul Gen 2 MBUS, a sling, and a Sig Romeo 5 RDS. Nice handy little package.

Only the 2nd gun I have ever bought from KT, first was a Gen 1 P32. Both needed to go back to the mothership for repairs right after purchase, but KT made them both right. A bit of a pain, but good result in the end.
