My Sub 2k was shooting a bit high (4" high perhaps at 15 yards) so I loosened up the front sight and pulled it up as high as I could. I took it to the range today at lunch and figured I'd dial it into right where I want it to.

Five rounds fired.. too low.

Adjusted the sight... still not right after 5 more rounds. Fiddle with it a bit here and there...

After 3 adjustments I'm firing a 5 round string on on shot number five.. I've lost the front sight post. It's GONE! I look down over the firing line.. there it is. The front sight broke in half when I tightened it down the last time and the recoil shook it loose.

I wasn't even being brutal with the tension on the thing... it just SNAPPED it seems from what I could consider regular use. Now, I know KT will replace the thing no questions asked, and if they do charge anything it'll be pithy. I'm not sure I want the plastic front-sight anymore anyway. Still seems absurd to spend almost half what I paid for the carbine on a new aluminum front-sight though.

Frustrating.. because I was trying to dial in real well before I took off for vacation... as that's the only "long arm" I have that's going to transport well for airline travel without screaming "GUN" when checking into a hotel.

Yeesh... dunno what to do.
