KelTec P3AT, IWB options

I am trying to decide on which Kel Tec to buy. I want either the P32 or the P3AT It depends on which one is most reliable. I get the impression that the P32 is more reliable, but the P3AT has more power.

Which would you buy? My first priority is a reliable gun, but I sure hate to have to start stocking .32 ammo on top of all the others calibers I need for my large gun collection. When I stock up on pistol ammo, I need to buy .22, .25, .380, 9mm, 38 Special, .357 Mag, 44 Mag, .40 caliber , 45 ACP, and 45 Colt. And that just covers the pistiols. I need an equal number of rifle calibers.

From what I've heard P3ATs that work are reliable. P32s that work are reliable. Perhaps more P32s than P3ATs work "out of the box."

Since you'll need to "prove" whatever gun you buy before you can really trust it I'd argue that the "out of the box" reliability statistics don't matter. Unless you have a time constraint and you need something/anything right now in which case buy from a shop with a range and test it before you take it home.

So I'd go with the P3AT.
