I know that they make the Sub 2000 to take multiple kinds of magazines. I am not a fan of Glocks or own any of the other pistols they are designed to take the mags of. Do you guys think there's any chance of Keltec making a Sub 2000 that takes XD or XDm mags?

I saw youtube video of a guy saying he thought a 33(?) round S&W 59 series magazine would work in a Springfield XD if you cut out a hole for the magazine catch like the XD's. Wonder if XD mags would work in the Sub2000 made for S&W 59 magazines if you cut S&W style slots in XD mags?

Did some Googling and it seems the XD mags may be a little too thick to fit the S&W version of the Sub 2000.

Didn't see any comments from anyone who had actually done it, but I did find comments saying that the Beretta 92 version of the Sub 2000 should work with XD magazines if the proper notch is cut into the XD mags.

I have one with the Beretta grip. Those mags work in my XD with a slight modification, so I standardized on Beretta mags. I'd rather alter mags than alter the gun.

The Kel-Tec Sub 2K is such a nice and affordable carbine, why not just spring for Glock mags? They are excellent, and very affordable. Seems like the workarounds are a lot of work that is just asking for trouble.

I actually asked KT this on their FB page, my impression was that I was not the first to ask and that there was no plan to roll out an XD compatible version for some concrete (unshared) reason.

I'd imagine that Springfield Armory called dibs on the concept and doesn't have a product to do that, but won't let KT go ahead.

Obviously, I'd buy a sub2000 that shared magazines with about anything I shoot/carry, so XD9sc or 45c, 1911 officer, or about anything Walther ... as it is, I have a G19 compatible model and can't stand the ergonomics on Glock pistols, so I have a bin of Glock mags and just the sub2k to empty them.

Hell, I'd buy proprietary KT magazines for a 9x18 or 7.62x25 model (well, I suppose 9x18 would shoot from CZ82 magazines nicely) ... and maybe for a .45acp model ... surely for a .22lr model (we might get close to that with the RMR30)
