Kerik & Homeland Security

As an aside, The New York Post today reported that Kerik sold $6,000,000 worth of Taser stock. Major stock sales are required to be reported by SEC rules.

Anyway, reading between the lines, Taser will sell heavily to DHS under Kerik. They could not do so if Kerik was a major stockholder - conflict of interest and whatnot.

I agree he has to be reminded about the 2nd amendment. If we really have someone in the White House who himself believes in it. Their I have some doubts. As far as the illegals coming over I'd bet the farm he looks at it like GWB. That being the more that comes over the merrier. I have to ask myself if GWB doesn't think the threat of terrorism is great enough for America to warrant closing are borders is the threat really great enough for brave Americans to be killed in Iraq. Remember up to 4million a year just walk into are country no one know who they are were they go and no one who could stop it gives a hoot in H**L!

Yep. And the next terrorist attack here will come from jihadists who crossed the Mexican border. Watch.

DHS is a department of 170,000 people. I wonder if Kerik has the management skills to run a complex department like that? I know NYC has some like 30,000 or so police officers, but that is not quite the same as DHS.

Kerik has the 'bully' management style, sort of like Trump. He keeps his people scared and fires them if they screw up once.

His style is representative of an insecure person (his mother abandoned him when he was 4 years old). He will be in over his head, faking it a lot.

I reckon he'll find that difficult to do with federal employees. And the first time he tries it there will be a hue and cry and morale goes in the dumper. It's not that great over at DHS anyway...

One other thing. When Kerik was an Army MP, he roughed up a soldier. Got an Article 15 and lost a stripe.

The more I read about Kerik the less I like him. Today's ComPost had a story about his antics in Saudi Arabia when he was third in command of U.S. security forces. Lots of allegations that he was overly intrusive into the private activities of U.S. citizens :scrutiny: and other unseemly activities. My mental image is tending toward one of an arm-twisting street thug. Along the lines of Congressman Jim Moran. :barf:

What's his position on the 2A? Uh, "everyone forgot to ask." Conveniently. What else is new? As The Man once said, when I hear the word "Czar" I reach for my revolver. We all know here that true "homeland security" depends on the empowerment of free citizens, not autocratic, bureaucratic, and monolithic ministries of fear and intrusion. Let all be forewarned.
