Kerry admits to owning an assault rifle.

OL: Are you a gun owner? If so, what is your favorite gun?

Kerry: My favorite gun is the M-16 that saved my life and that of my crew in Vietnam. I don’t own one of those now, but one of my reminders of my service is a Communist Chinese assault rifle.

And Bush had stated that he would sign the Assault Weapons Ban…. What is this world coming to? I'm voting Constitutional Party

Kerry doesn't believe you or I should have such firearms, but since he's one of the great leaders he can do as he pleases.

BTW, is Mass. a Title II/Class III state? Can he legally own such a weapon there?

Does he mean that he personally saved the lives of his crew with an M-16? Give this man another well-deserved medal!

So he can throw it over a fence.

Yes. As far as I know, MA allows private ownership of automatic weapons. And if they don't, I know Idaho and Pennslyvania do. I doubt that kerry has one thouhg, and if he does it's probably a dummy hanging in an office, or something.

M-16's like all guns, have a mind of their own and are capable of acting independently, they can and do kill people. This must have been one of the few good guns and, no doubt, our fearless hero has taken the communist assault rifle into protective custody for re-ejection. Only the elate should attempt to rehabilitate any gun, especially a "communist assault rifle" ...Could be that the Communist rifle is one of his advisers. :barf:

    Um, clarify something.....

If the homeland defense rifles are banned or heavily restricted in California, where does Flaky Feinstein get her "machine guns of death" to show off? I mean, is she committing a felony each time she displays it at a media feeding frenzy?

And to be fair, nail Kerry to the wall for breaking the gun laws. Do to him what the ATF would do to any of us "lesser" subjects of the realm. That would fix the presidential race rather quickly. Hard to be president of the country if you are serving time behind bars for a few felony counts.

Why do people put up with elitist POS's like this guy? I know because they're sheep.

This immediately reminded me of the old Soviet leaders who made ordinary citizens wait in 2 hour lines for bread while they enjoyed western luxuries in their vacation homes. Kerry can own an SKS, but when I express a desire to own an American made rifle he says I can't because it somehow aids terrorists. What an ass!

Yep, Just like dianne fatswine and rosie o'lesbo, the democratic cantidate may do as he pleases while the rest of us lowly and unworthy must suffer under whatever draconian measures they decide to support or endorse.

It is funny in an unfunny way how the Dems claim the Republicans are such elitists when they themselves are the ones truely guilty of that fault.

Our good Pres. may have enjoyed bellying up to the bar at one time but so do many other "common men".
He may make some stupid remarks, but so do many other "common men".
He may indeed have used his brain power or influence to weedle his way out of a combat assignment during his military career.
So did many other "common men" then and now.
Having been in the Army I cannot blame him for having the insight and common sense to do so.

You Decide 2004, I already made my choice.

    Kerry's favorite

kerry stated that his favorite is the M-16 that saved his life (Was that HIS M-16 that saved his life) and the life of his crew. Is he saying that HE saved the lives of his ENTIRE crew with HIS M-16 now?? By shooting a single fleeing unarmed wounded VC in the back?? What a guy. Should have got the CMH for saving the entire crew. I thought he only saved one by going back and rejoining the other boats he had abandoned and managing to pull a guy out of the water. Do I have this all wrong??

The anti-gun gang has never had a problem getting rifles to show off as "evil" guns.

When the governor of MD (then a Democrat) was pushing the state version of the AWB, he ordered the State Police to do a "show and tell" for the TV and press. The idea was to display all the "assault weapons" they had seized in crime investigations. The only trouble was that there were none.

But that did not stop our intrepid law enforcement officers from toadying to the loony tunes governor. They went out to several stores with state money and bought AK-47's and AR-15's, which they took into their property room. They then brought the guns out, placed them on tables with some shotguns and pistols, and told the reporters that, "These deadly assault rifles came out of our property room, where we keep guns seized in crimes."

Note that that statement is not a lie; the guns had "come out of the property room", and they never said those guns were seized in crime. If the stupid press wanted to believe that, the MSP would let them. Believe me, the current CBS document mess only proves once again that news media people are stupid and naive and willing to fall for any lie or trick that seems to support their biases.

    Jim
