Kimber Custom II TLE/RL mags question.

I just bought it today. Still have to wait 72 hrs to pick it up and go to the range. Are the factory mags any decent or should I pick up some Wilson mags. If so which mags can I go with from the Wilson website as they have quite a few listed.

The Kimber mags are okay, nothing stellar. Unless the Custom II TLE/RL is different than other Kimbers, it will only come with one magazine in any case.

Wilson 47Ds are good. Chip McCormicks are also good. Tripp Research mags are also supposed to be very good, though I haven't used any of them personally (unlike the Wilsons and CMCs).

congrats on the new 1911, a good choice you have made.

If you can afford Wilsons great, i use chips and even have 2 kimpro tacmags and i have had great luck with both brands, i have been using teh chips for alot longer though.

Check Mate, Chip McCormick, Colt, Pro Tac, Wilson..All good mags.

The factory Kimber mags are, best I can tell, McCormick Shooting Stars. I've personally had better results with the Shooting Stars than I have with the more expensive Wilson mags and McCormick Power Mags.
