    Desperately seeking....

    I've exhausted the LGS's

    Ive exhausted the not-so-L GS's

In fact...Ive exhausted all of kimbers list of dealers for Oregon.

Lots of folks have lots of models.... wife wants this one...there can be no compromise, sadly.

Kimber's turnaround is anywhere from 6-12 mths currently.

Once I find and obtain this one.. I'm free to get a new pistol of my choosing.

I'd like to be able to get a new pistol and use it, this year :)

So, anyone know of anybody thats got one ?

I'll take an out-of-state FFL if anyone knows of one who has this piece, I've got an FFL here standing by :)

If you ARE an FFL that has one... I'll take it...full pop:D, no drama.

What's so special about the Kimber Royal II??? I'd recommend another 1911 then add bone grips. Why is she hung up on a Kimber?

That's not a bad thing, if that specific model keeps her shooting, then it's a must have. But would she go after a even better 1911 from someone that can turn them over quicker?

Is it the polished finish? Order one of these from Severns custom and have him polish and blue it:

A Colt O1980XSE looks about the same as well:

I talked to the gun manager at reeds via email.

    It is not in stock.

The first one you listed does not have bone grips... Believe me, I know I could have fossilized raptor femur ones made for $1000... I have had this discussion to the point of tears with the Mrs. wife wants this one...there can be no compromise, sadly. She doesn't do diamonds and gold. She likes High-end tools...this extends to projectile slingin' hardware as well. You should have seen me last anniversary trying to find an exotic pen she wanted.

I have located THE one on GB, but he won't take it off auction..he wants to see how high it can go.

I'm not partial to auctions, particularly scalpy ones.

    Ain't that the truth.

I think once she has the kimber in hand, that'll be enough.

Now, most importantly, on to the search for my new sidearm !

I'm also a fan of the 1911 platform, but also a fan of manual safeties ( flame on, I can take it) I've actually had a couple Glocks, and loved em- with the exception of the manual safety... I was originally considering a revolver in 45, but want something I can do dry fire drills with..... let the search begin !

    Ta da !!!!!

    Here it is........

I wish I had a camera that could accurately capture the finish....this cell phone pic doesn't cut it.

I was skeptical.... but this is a premier piece.

Stuff $1897 between her hands, and send her to the mall.
