Any Kimber Solo's out there yet? If so, what's the verdict?

I just put the $100 deposit I had down on one towards a Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm. I don't think the Solos are going to be seen for awhile. I've read in other threads that Kimber has ceased production on them until they can sort out issues.

I believe Kimber has resumed production. They had a short stop while waiting for new mag catches (redesigned). However, some say they never stopped production.

The issue is moot anyway, so the Solo has had very spotty availability for many months now. Who knows if it will ever reach decent availability.

People have had various issues with their Solos. Some have received theirs back from Kimber CS, and have reported no more issues, while others have been waiting 5-6 weeks. Kimber CS won't give them a date of shipping, either. I would be pretty peeved if I waited more than a month for service on my pistol, with no ship date available.

But then again, I'm glad Kimber couldn't put out their product on time back in February/March, otherwise I'd have a Solo right now. Based on what I've read, that would have been a huge mistake.

I recently bought a Kahr CM9. I am quite happy with it.

The Diamondback DB9 is also out.

I've held one. It's a pretty gun. However, compared to other pocket 9mms like the Kahr PM9 it's somewhat heavy. According to the specs it weighs 3 ounces more than the Kahr, 17 ounces vs. 14 ounces.
