have read numerous threads about Kimbers Custom Shop. I'd like to share my experience.

In Nov I bought a Pro Carry 11 SS. I didn't get any range time until January. The gun had many failure to go into batterys. Always on the last round in the magazine. This would happen with the Kimber 7 rd mag and the Wilson 8 rd mags (all 3). I attributed this to not being broken in.

A couple of weeks ago I was back at the range and same thing. Only now, I was at the 600 round mark. Also, my accuracy was not what I expected. 6" left and 6" groups at 25 yds. Trying different brands of ammo didn't help.

I called the Custom Shop and spoke with Dennis. He said to send it in, and gave me very detailed instructions on how to do that. Also, they wanted to see a target.

Monday at 5.30 pm the "pkg" went Fed Ex, 10am they received it. Yesterday (Thurs) I received my Pre Carry back with adjusted extractor and a new barrel. The Pro Carry had been fired, as it was dirty.

I'll go to the range next week to see for myself, but with their Customer Service being EXCELLENT, I'm sure the matter will be closed.

This is definately what I was looking for in a handgun, and in a company.
