For those unfamiliar, this is a 95 % size and weight replica based on a steel 10/22 receiver, .22 LR bored Garand profile barrel, faux gas tube assembly, aftermarket Garand wood inleted for this action, custom Tech Sights with an aftermarket 10/22 trigger pack and bolt. An aftermarket magazine with steel M1 style floorplate finishes the look.
In stock condition, after cleaning and lube and using a standard Ruger magazine It had failures every other or at least every 3 rounds. Stovepipes of fired cases, stovepipes of live rounds, wedged live rounds, failures to extract, doubling, tripling, failure to load you name it!
Fortunately, the fix is simple! I replaced the bolt and trigger pack with standard Ruger parts. In over 500 rounds of American Eagle 40 grain HV and Federal 40 grain standard velocity I had 2 failures to fire and 1 stovepipe. Informal accuracy seems to be about 1” ish at 25 yds. I have yet try it from a proper bench but it looks promising!

Earlthegoat2, I wish they did! Kingston Armory went out of business after just 2 years. They made about 3000 of these rifles and had plans to make an M14 replica as well. It’s a shame, maybe if they had made better choices than the Jard trigger and bolt they used they’d still be around.
