Here's a couple other very rare pistols.

First, we have a Sphinx Competitor. They are of the CZ75 design and built in Switzerland to very high standards. The Competitor was one of their flagship models.

Second is an original D&D Bren Ten. Only about 1500 were built back in the early to mid 1980's.

I think you misspelled 1911...

Actually, in all seriousness, the 1911 is my favorite platform. I've been forunate enough to have many of them from the world's best manufacturers and custom smiths, so I'm not just about high end Euro pistols.

Here are a few of mine from Mark Morris, Paul Liebenberg, and Ted Yost.

That D&D Bren Ten is really rare...you got one with a magazine :p

A Liebenberg 1911 really stands out with his distinctive grip safety and barrel bushing

Yeah, the Bren Ten did suffer from mag shortage.

As for the Liebenberg, that's a signature model built on his in house frame.

Korth? More like a mid life crisis on the gun world. Like buying a corvette to make up for something he is lacking. Id rather buy a sig x5 and take the extra money and buy as much ammo as i can

So anyone who buys a Korth is making up for something?

I get a laugh out of this mentality.

I jumped on this thread tonight and was sort of hoping to see more of your collection in photos, BC. Thanks for sharing stuff I will likely never see, let alone own! I deeply enjoy that your shooting them and not just taking them out of the safe with white gloves on while harumphing away.

And, I am ashamed to admit, I have never even heard of a Korriphila, so that was awesome.

Are most of the more dedicated target style 9mm pistols [as seen on here] going to be mostly single stack?

Here's a real beauty. Notice the bold lines and exquisitely contoured grip. The finish bears a utilitarian beauty all its own. The custom skeletonized trigger reduces pull weight and really sets this fine piece of craftsmanship apart from any other. A true "grail" gun if I've ever seen one.

Dang you must have serious issues since you have two of them. :D :neener:

Just Jokes man.

I do think I prefer the aesthetics of the Revolver over the Auto, both are works of art though.

bc1023, . . . of all your target 9 pistols, . . . what would be the ratio of single stack vs. double stack? I know the P210's are single stack. The Beretta [that I really like the looks of] is double. Just curiousity on my part.

Most the gun I showed in this thread are single stack (Korth, P210s, S&W 952, S&W 845, HK P9S, and the 1911s)

The Pardini, Delta, Sphinx, X-Five, Beretta, S&W Comp 40, and Bren Ten are all double stack.

I have several other high end guns that I haven't posted as well, some single stack, some double. I'll post more when I get a chance.

Here's one you don't see every day. A mint condition Valtro 1998A1

These are very hard to get and command some big money these days. I haven't seen one for sale in a couple of years, but the last one on Gunbroker went for over $5,000.

Nice pistol [that I've never heard of]!

Which of the guns you have posted have been the LEAST expensive? I don't mean to bring up that Beretta again, but I would guess it would be in that group?

...and to think I balked at buying one when they were $1400. It just felt odd to buy a Italian made 1911...even when designed by Jardine (and he's local to me)
