There are two different versions, one with a forged slide, and one that is not. The one that is forged isn't too bad, the one that is not I wouldn't touch with a 10 ft. pole. You can tell these because the slide looks different up front where the recoil spring tunnel is. Where the slide is cut thinner in a radius and then goes straight on a forged slide, these just go straight out from the frame all the way to the end and it almost looks as if the recoil spring tunnel is a seperate part that was attached to the slide. That's because it is, the frame rails run all the way out the end and the tunnel is slid in and brazed in place. If you look closely you can see it from the front, you may have to remove the barrel bushing. None of the parts in this model interchange. The magazine is physically larger, a Colt mag slops around in the well. These mags are hard to find. This slide usually has a rib running the length of it on the top. This is the earlier model, the forged models came later and are better.
