Sometimes "wasting time" dropping by the pawn shops pays off. I found a pair of Savage 30-06's this week, both have scopes the first was a 3x9x40 Tasco and the other is a 3x9x50 Simmons. Got the pair for $450.00. Got the 1st yesterday and the 2nd this afternoon. Both shoot very good. Fired 2 rounds from the 1st at about 80yards and were both spot on. 1/2 inch apart right on the target. Shot the second just a few mins ago. 3 rounds at the same distance and they make a nice 1 1/4 group both just using a rest off a table, no sandbags etc, I was also just using some old 150gr remington softpoints. Bought the pair of them for my boys to use hunting, about a month ago they informed me that they had "out grown" the NEF 243s I had bought for them. Over all I am VERY pleased with my purchase.:D

I correct grammar all day, so when I am online in the evening I do not really care about correct grammar usage. After all how serious can you take any form of communication that uses smilies and animated gifs (especially those that are made from parodies to bad dance music)?

    Thanks though. :D

About 12 years ago, I traded my 110C(vintage 1982), and I still have sellers remorse. With my handloads and using a Bushnell 4X scope, I consistantly fired 1 inch or less 3 shot groups. Your boys should have decades of acurrate shooting from those rifles. I still have four other Savage rifles that are not going anywhere soon. Old 112
