I attended the subject course on-line yesterday. I cannot recommend it too strongly.

Six hours, per the schedule--more than seven, really, with Q&A.

The DVD version is longer and contains more material.

I attended Massad Ayoob's MAG-20, Armed Citizens' Rules of Engagement some years ago. That required travel.

My recommendation? Take both.

Expensive? Peanuts, in comparison to what one may spend before a trial that never happens, after the proverbial "good shoot"--or even if you just draw a firearm.

And it can help one stay out of a cage for quite a number of years.

Is there a link to the online course?
It was offered onSaturday, after some weeks of announcements and instructions on how to enroll.

I am a Platinum subscriber to LoSD, and they sent me log-in codes for that reason. I do not remember the fee for others

I do not know when if might be offered again, but I recommend subscribing and staying on top of all of the blog posts and announcements.

I ordered the specific DVD supplement for my state.

Andrew conducted the course personally. The Q&A were very valuable.

Branca's book, The Law of Self Defense, is a good start. After you read it, I recommend you take his Level 1 class and the additional class for every state in which you spend much time. He used to do Level 1 and Level 2 classes in person. Now, he prefers to do them live, online. I prefer the DVD version because I can stop before I get overloaded with fresh information and think about what I just heard. He also does a blog for which you can sign up. It has several levels of membership from free to moderately expensive.

I took Massad Ayoob's Mag40 class in 2018. It's also worth its price.

If you practice what is taught in these classes, you will give your lawyer a strong case to work with if you need to defend yourself in a jurisdiction hostile to self defense. You also want to invest in a good self defense "insurance" program to pay the legal bills. Just knowing you will be well represented will give an aggressive prosecutor reason to think twice before putting you on trial.
