LC Smith "Hunter One Trigger" issues

Greeting all. I just purchased an LC Smith Trap model, with a "Hunter One Trigger" Lock. I got this gun with the understanding that there were issues, so I'm not disappointed that the lockwork needs help. Does anybody here have experience with adjusting/repairing this assembly? After studying it for a while I simply can't figure out its correct function, seems to act as a selector for Left or Right barrel only. There is little or nothing I can find on the net to assist me

I am giving consideration to installing a 2 trigger lock assembly and calling it good.
