LCR Holy cow what a deal

I wish you guys well - the LCP has had it's problems. I left the Ruger camp last year - the 642 looks pretty good to me - and, 2.5 yr later, it still works perfectly - and is accurate, too. Mine even has the IL on it!

The local pusher has $409 on his LCR.

S&W is no guarantee either. I have bought 2 brand new lemons in the past 18 months from Smith & Wesson. They may have a 150+ year reputation they are currently milking, but lately, they too are slipping.

The LCR looks very promising. I will certainly get one once the honeymoon-phase prices come down in my area.

I have bought a bunch of Rugers - all new - over the years - every one arrived as a 'work in progress' - very poor QC. One, a 5.5" SS .45 RH, went back immediately, getting a new cylinder, hammer, trigger, etc. I became adept at dehorning Ruger revolver innards. I've bought 16 S&Ws since '02 - two were used and needed amateur spring jobs redone. None of the new ones had a fault - all, but one, still works perfectly - I sold the 'one' - and it was perfect. Their are exceptions to every rule. I won't try to make a convert out of a Ruger guy - and it's unlikely one will sway me from S&W.

Oops - I do still have a Ruger revolver - an Old Army BP C&B. That's it. I just don't like the looks of the LCR. I know, my 642 never see's the light of day - maybe once a month at the range. I'm afraid that LCR would scare small children - shock old men (Like me...) - and I loved my 'techno-ugo' .454C SRH! YMMV. I said goodbye to plastic guns when I sold my G21 eleven years ago. They should say Remco or Mattel on them. My opinion... worth what it cost you!

PS I just remembered a third used S&W - a 6.5" 24-3 of '83 - spent twenty years in a safe - should have stayed there. I am glad 'They don't make them like they once did!', what poor QC!

Range report finally CPU went down and I have been without for about a month got a new one today. I love my new LCR it shot well no foul ups and is pretty darn accurate hopfully when I get my systems up on this new CPU I can send some picks of the target not bad at all. If any are thinking of getting one for CCW I highly reccomend this gun great great and easy to conceal not even bad with the +P thanks for comments and looking.

There were two in town last time I was in town. One little gun shop that's normally not shysters had one for like $662 while Academy has 'em for about $475. Wowsers, they're in love with those things. I'm keeping my Taurus, thanks. Nice little guns, though. They just need to get real with the price tags here.

I felt great when I bought my wife's LCR for $390.00 last week. This was one of those times that I did not have to wonder if I made a good deal or not.

My wife really loves her new LCR. She learned how to accurately shoot it, by staging the trigger, faster than anyone I've ever seen before.
